Wednesdays are Slackware days, and the first thing I find this morning:

# slpkg -c sbo --upgrade

google-earth-pro-stable_7.3.6_amd64.deb

gives

+==============================================================================
| MD5SUM check for google-earth-pro-stable_7.3.6_amd64.deb [ FAILED ]
+==============================================================================
| Expected: 0c801e2c22c42d47210bae598cbece1d
| Found: 81891c9fb39940ad7b28f6b9560321d1
+==============================================================================

but it's been like that for the 2 or 3 previous Slackware days

It is a deb packet, it might not work on Slackware.
Get it from
https://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/current/google-earth-pro-stable_current_amd64.deb

Tell slpkg to clear it's cache, or something like that, should be possible.
If you download it from
https://slackbuilds.org/repository/15.0/gis/google-earth/ the checksum
matches.
Alternatively you can ditch slpkg and use sbopkg.

*Thank you* Marco Moock & dillinger, I just wanted to alert to
the problem, today is Leap day and I'll be back on Slackware
next Wednesday (the last installed GE is working just fine BTW)
